Chip was purchased from Rob & Deanne Young at their fall production sale in December, 2017. We had seen Chip in November at Agribition and liked him. When we saw his dam, Signature Red at sale time, and liked her too, we made the decision to purchase them both.
Chip was shown successfully at the 2017 Fall Shows winning Reserve Bull Calf Champion at Manitoba Ag Ex., Sr. Bull Calf Champion at FarmFair, and Reserve Sr. Bull Calf Champion at Agribition.
He brings some new bloodlines to our program which is always of interest to our long-time customers. Chip's weaning and yearling EPDs are in the top 15% of the breed, which will help maintain the performance beneficial to bull customers who sell their calves by the pound.
Chip is one of our walking herd sires for the 2018 summer breeding season.
