Footnotes: In our search for a bull to use in our heifer pen this young bull raised by Kuntz Simmental farm caught our attention.
The sale catalogue footnotes describe him accurately, "Sheriff is a long spined bull with plenty of thickness, depth and presence that commands attention". His 63 pound birthweight with calving ease and birthweight EPD's that rank him in the top 3% of the breed made him a top prospect.
Sheriff attracted plenty of attention sale day and sold for $40,000 to Bonchuk Farms and Semex. We were very fortunate to be able to purchase two of the three semen packs offered by the new owners of Sheriff. We used him heavily in our heifer pen. He proved to be the easiest calving bull we have used. In combination with the calving ease, his calves have growth, thickness and style. His sons proved to be very popular in our 2016 Bull Sale, with one selling for $77,500 to Kunkel Simmentals in North Dakota. Sheriff sons were again featured in our 2017 Bull Sale.
